Kitesurfing in Boracay

Having learnt to kitesurf in Egypt with a university friend back in 2007, I was keen to get under a kite once more and travelled to Boracay in the Philippines for 10 days. I stayed at Isla Kitesurfing on the beach at Bulabog Bay - cheap, friendly accommodation and good rental equipment.

The rooms are basic but clean and cheap. It has everything you need including rental equipment, tuition, attentive beach boys to help you assemble your equipment and land your kite, a cafe with good food and drinks.

White Beach

On the more touristy side of the island. This is the beach that originally made Boracay famous. The sand and seawater have not been ruined by tourism but sadly the beach front has - there's even a Starbucks.
